No matter what, Belarus still has many friends in Europe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary Vladimir Ulakhovich said in an interview to the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
Belarus and Hungary have energy as a new topic for cooperation. “The countries have signed a memorandum and reached an agreement to set up a group of experts. Hungarian partners highly appreciate the experience we have at our nuclear power plant,” Vladimir Ulakhovich said.
The ambassador stressed that sanctions had affected trade between the two countries. “The most sensitive, perhaps, is the impact on our export portfolio, but it applies mainly to the sanctioned products – mineral fertilizers, woodworking. Despite everything, Belarus still has many friends in Europe and our country is treated with great respect,” he concluded.
